3. Nature and Scope of DegreeGO's Services
3.1. DegreeGO is an education consultancy and admission-facilitation platform. DegreeGO helps students explore educational options, understand programme information, connect with Partner Institutions and complete admission-related processes.
3.2. DegreeGO is not a university, college, statutory educational authority or degree-awarding institution. Unless expressly stated in writing, DegreeGO does not design, control, teach, examine, accredit or award any Programme.
3.3. Programmes displayed or recommended through DegreeGO are provided by the respective Partner Institutions. Academic delivery, curriculum, faculty, schedules, examinations, assessments, attendance requirements, credits, certificates and degrees are controlled by the relevant Partner Institution.
3.4. DegreeGO’s role may include:
- Providing general career and education counselling
- Helping Users compare selected Programmes
- Connecting Users with Partner Institutions
- Assisting with application forms and documentation
- Coordinating admission-related communication
- Sharing publicly available or institution-provided Programme information
- Supporting Users with administrative follow-ups
- Providing other services specifically agreed in writing
3.5. DegreeGO’s recommendations may include Programmes offered by institutions with which DegreeGO has a commercial, referral or service relationship. DegreeGO may receive a commission, referral fee, marketing fee or service fee from a Partner Institution when a User enquires about or enrols in a Programme.
3.6. DegreeGO does not represent that its list of Programmes includes every institution or educational option available in the market. Recommendations should not be treated as independent financial, legal or regulatory advice.
4. Eligibility
4.1. You must be legally competent to enter into a binding contract under Indian law.
4.2. If you are below 18 years of age, your parent or lawful guardian must review and accept these Terms and complete any payment or contractual transaction on your behalf.
4.3. If you use the Platform on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm that you have proper authority to act for that person or organisation.
5. User Information and Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide complete, accurate and current personal, academic, employment and contact information
- Submit only authentic and valid documents
- Promptly correct any inaccurate information
- Review all application details before submission
- Meet deadlines communicated by DegreeGO or the Partner Institution
- Pay applicable fees within the stated timelines
- Comply with the Partner Institution’s eligibility and admission requirements
You remain responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of the information and documents submitted in your name.
DegreeGO or a Partner Institution may reject, suspend or cancel an application if information or documents are incomplete, false, misleading, altered, unverifiable or submitted after the applicable deadline.
DegreeGO will not be responsible for rejection or delay caused by incorrect information, missing documents, missed deadlines, failure to meet eligibility requirements or other acts or omissions attributable to the User.
6. Programme Information and Verification
6.1. DegreeGO makes reasonable efforts to present accurate Programme information. However, information relating to fees, eligibility, curriculum, duration, admission dates, examinations, faculty, scholarships, accreditations and delivery format may be supplied by Partner Institutions and may change.
6.2. Before making a payment or accepting admission, you should review the official Programme brochure, offer or admission letter, fee schedule, refund policy and applicable terms issued by the Partner Institution.
6.3. Users seeking admission to online or open and distance learning Programmes should independently verify the institution’s and Programme’s recognition or entitlement for the relevant academic session through the UGC, UGC Distance Education Bureau and any other applicable regulatory body.
6.4. Recognition in a previous academic year does not automatically establish recognition for a later academic session.
6.5. If there is any inconsistency between general information displayed by DegreeGO and an official document subsequently issued by the Partner Institution, the Partner Institution’s current official document will govern the Programme. This does not exclude DegreeGO’s responsibility for any misrepresentation made directly by DegreeGO.
7. Admission and Academic Decisions
7.1. Submission of an enquiry, application or payment does not guarantee admission.
7.2. Final admission decisions are made by the respective Partner Institution based on its eligibility requirements, document verification, seat availability, entrance requirements and internal policies.
7.3. DegreeGO cannot guarantee:
- Admission to any particular institution or Programme
- Availability of seats
- Acceptance of documents
- Scholarship or fee concession
- Transfer of credits
- Programme recognition for a particular employment or immigration purpose
- Completion of a Programme
- Issuance of a degree or certificate
- Placement, internship or promotion
- A particular job, employer, designation or salary
- Any specific academic, career or financial outcome
7.4. Career guidance and counselling are advisory in nature. The final choice of institution and Programme remains the User’s decision.
8. Fees, Taxes and Payments
8.1. Before payment, Users should be informed whether an amount represents:
- An Institution Fee payable to the Partner Institution
- A payment collected by DegreeGO as an authorised collection or facilitation partner
- A DegreeGO Service Fee
- A third-party payment, loan or processing charge
8.2. Applicable taxes may be charged in addition to the displayed fee where required by law.
8.3. Payments may be processed through banks, payment gateways, lenders or other third-party providers. Their separate terms and privacy policies may apply.
8.4. DegreeGO does not ordinarily store complete card, banking or payment-instrument credentials when transactions are processed through a third-party payment gateway.
8.5. You must verify the payment recipient before transferring money. Payments should be made only through an official DegreeGO payment link, authorised bank account or payment channel communicated through an official DegreeGO email address, website or verified number.
8.6. DegreeGO will not be responsible for payments made to an employee, counsellor, agent or third party through an unauthorised personal account unless DegreeGO has expressly confirmed that payment channel in writing.
8.7. You should retain payment receipts, transaction references and official fee communications.
9. Cancellation and Refunds
Refund eligibility depends on the nature of the payment and the policy disclosed before payment.
9.1 Institution Fees Paid Directly
Where you pay an Institution Fee directly to a Partner Institution, the Partner Institution’s cancellation and refund policy will apply. DegreeGO may assist with communication but cannot independently approve or issue a refund of funds it has not received.
9.2 Institution Fees Collected Through DegreeGO
Where DegreeGO collects an Institution Fee as an authorised collection or facilitation partner, the refund will be determined according to the Partner Institution’s disclosed policy and applicable law.
Once the Partner Institution approves and releases the refund to DegreeGO, DegreeGO will process it to the original payment method within a reasonable period, ordinarily within seven to ten business days. Additional processing time taken by banks or payment providers may apply.
9.3 DegreeGO Service Fees
Any separate DegreeGO Service Fee, its scope and its refundability must be disclosed before payment.
Unless different written terms were disclosed:
- A request made before DegreeGO begins the paid service may be eligible for a refund after deducting non-recoverable payment-gateway charges
- Where DegreeGO has already started counselling, document review, application preparation or other substantive work, DegreeGO may deduct a reasonable amount proportionate to work already performed
- Completed services are generally not refundable merely because the User changes their decision or is dissatisfied with an admission decision made by a Partner Institution
- If DegreeGO cancels a paid service that it cannot provide, the unperformed portion of the DegreeGO Service Fee will be refunded.
9.4 Other Refund Conditions
Application, registration, seat-booking or blocking amounts may be non-refundable only where this was clearly disclosed before payment and is consistent with the Partner Institution’s policy and applicable law.
Duplicate or demonstrably incorrect payments should be reported promptly and will be refunded after verification.
Refund requests must be submitted to connect@degreego.in with the User’s name, registered contact details, Programme, payment receipt and reason for the request.
Nothing in this section limits any refund or consumer remedy available under applicable law.
10. Loans and EMI Facilities
10.1. DegreeGO may introduce Users to banks, non-banking financial companies or other credit providers. Any loan or EMI arrangement is a separate agreement between the User and the lender.
10.2. The lender is responsible for credit assessment, approval, interest rates, documentation, disbursement, repayment, cancellation, penalties and recovery.
10.3. DegreeGO does not guarantee approval of any loan or EMI facility.
10.4. Cancellation of admission does not automatically cancel a loan. The User must separately complete the lender’s cancellation or foreclosure process and may remain liable for charges under the loan agreement.
11. Communications
11.1. By submitting an enquiry or application, you authorise DegreeGO to contact you regarding your request through telephone, email, SMS, WhatsApp or another contact method provided by you.
11.2. Service communications may include counselling schedules, application updates, payment confirmations, document requests, admission updates and other information necessary to fulfil your request.
11.3. Promotional communications will be sent only as permitted under applicable law and your communication preferences.
11.4. You may opt out of promotional communications by using the unsubscribe facility or contacting connect@degreego.in. Opting out of promotional messages will not prevent essential service-related communications concerning an active application or transaction.
11.5. DegreeGO is responsible only for commitments made through its official website, written agreements, verified communication channels or email addresses ending in @degreego.in. Users should request written confirmation of any material verbal commitment.
12. Permitted Use of the Platform
DegreeGO grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Platform for personal and lawful educational-information purposes.
You must not:
- Use the Platform for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
- Submit false or misleading information
- Impersonate another person
- Upload malware or malicious code
- Attempt unauthorised access to any account or system
- Scrape, copy or extract Platform data using automated tools without permission
- Interfere with the security or operation of the Platform
- Infringe the intellectual-property or privacy rights of another person

- Use DegreeGO’s name, logo or content for unauthorised commercial purposes
13. Intellectual Property
The DegreeGO name, logo, website design, original text, graphics, databases and other materials created by DegreeGO are owned by or licensed to DegreeGO and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Institution names, logos, brochures, trademarks and Programme materials belong to their respective owners. Display of such materials does not transfer any ownership to DegreeGO or the User.
You may view and download materials only for personal, non-commercial use. Reproduction, modification, resale, redistribution or commercial use requires prior written permission from the relevant rights holder.
14. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Platform may contain links to Partner Institutions, payment providers, lenders, assessment platforms or other third-party services.
DegreeGO does not control all third-party websites or systems and is not responsible for their independent content, security, availability or privacy practices. Your interaction with a third party is also governed by that party’s terms and privacy policy.
This clause does not exclude DegreeGO’s responsibility for selecting or presenting a third party in a misleading or unlawful manner.
15. Testimonials and User Content
If you voluntarily provide feedback, a testimonial, photograph, video or success story, DegreeGO may request permission to use it for marketing or service-improvement purposes.
DegreeGO will not use personally identifiable testimonials for public advertising without appropriate permission. Any consent for testimonial use may be governed by a separate consent form or release.
You confirm that content submitted by you does not infringe the rights of another person and is not false, defamatory, illegal or misleading.
16. Privacy and Personal Information
DegreeGO’s collection, use, storage and sharing of personal information is governed by its separate Privacy Policy.
To assist with counselling or admission, DegreeGO may need to share relevant information and documents with a Partner Institution, service provider or payment provider in accordance with the Privacy Policy, your instructions and applicable law.
You should not submit unnecessary sensitive documents or financial credentials through unverified channels.
17. Disclaimers
17.1. The Platform and general information are provided on an “as available” basis. DegreeGO does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the website.
17.2. Salary figures, placement statistics, industry trends, rankings, return-on-investment estimates and career projections are indicative. They may be based on public reports, Partner Institution information or general market data and do not guarantee individual outcomes.
17.3. DegreeGO is not responsible for changes made independently by a Partner Institution, including changes to fees, curriculum, faculty, schedules, examinations, eligibility, seat availability or policies, provided DegreeGO communicates material changes known to it within a reasonable period.
17.4. Nothing in these Terms excludes obligations or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DegreeGO will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the Platform or reliance on general information.
DegreeGO’s aggregate liability arising from its own paid consultancy service will ordinarily not exceed the DegreeGO Service Fee actually paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
This limitation does not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, breach of obligations that cannot legally be limited, legally payable refunds or rights available to a consumer under applicable law.
DegreeGO is not liable for an academic or admission decision made independently by a Partner Institution or for a lender’s independent decision, except to the extent that the loss results from DegreeGO’s own misrepresentation, negligence or breach of these Terms.
19. Indemnity
You agree to compensate DegreeGO for direct losses, liabilities and reasonable legal costs arising from:
- Your fraudulent or unlawful use of the Platform
- Submission of forged or unauthorised documents
- Your material breach of these Terms
- Content submitted by you that infringes a third party’s rights
This indemnity does not apply to losses caused by DegreeGO’s own negligence, misconduct or breach of law.

DegreeGO will not be responsible for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, government action, internet or telecommunications failure, cyber incidents, strikes, epidemics, institutional closures or failure of third-party systems.
DegreeGO will make reasonable efforts to minimise the impact and communicate material delays.
21. Suspension and Termination
DegreeGO may restrict or terminate access to its Platform or services if a User:
- Materially breaches these Terms
- Submits fraudulent information or documents
- Fails to make a required payment
- Misuses the Platform
- Threatens or harasses staff, counsellors, Partner Institutions or other Users
- Engages in unlawful conduct
Where reasonably possible, DegreeGO will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the breach unless immediate suspension is required for security, fraud prevention or legal compliance.
